Spiced Roast Asparagus

Spiced Roast Asparagus

Ingredients:

Asparagus (one bunch or about 1 pound)

2 TBSP olive oil

2 Large Garlic Cloves

Salt to taste

Pepper to taste

Spice Pack ( ½ tsp Smoked Paprika, ⅛ tsp Chipotle Chili Powder, ¼ tsp Cumin)

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit

  2. Wash, dry and trim thick light colored ends off the asparagus (I just snap mine, near the bottom of the stalk, it just kind of naturally snaps exactly where it should!

  3. Lightly grease a baking sheet that is big enough to fit asparagus in one even layer and place asparagus on the sheet.

  4. In a small bowl mix oil, minced garlic, contents of spice pack and a pinch of salt and pepper

  5. Brush oil, garlic and spice mixture evenly over asparagus (you can also just do this in a bowl with hands or a spoon if you don’t have a pastry brush)

  6. Make sure asparagus is spread evenly in your baking sheet

  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes

  8. Enjoy!
