Italian Roast Asparagus with Parmesan

Italian Roasted Asparagus

Ingredients

Asparagus

2 tbsp olive oil

2 Large Garlic Cloves

Salt to taste

Pepper to taste

Spice Pack: (Basil, Oregano, Parsley, Rosemary, Thyme, Marjoram, Bay Leaves)

—3oz of Shredded Parmesan Cheese takes this recipe to a whole new level. If you have some laying about the house, spread the cheese over the asparagus before placing in the oven to bake—

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit

  2. Wash, dry and trim thick light colored ends off the asparagus

  3. Lightly grease a baking sheet that is big enough to fit asparagus in one even layer and place asparagus on the sheet.

  4. In a small bowl mix oil, minced garlic, contents of spice pack and a pinch of salt and pepper

  5. Brush oil, garlic and spice mixture evenly over asparagus (you can also just do this in a bowl with hands or a spoon if you don’t have a pastry brush)

  6. Make sure asparagus is spread evenly in your baking sheet and if you elect to add the 3oz of shredded parmesan now is the time to spread that over the seasoned spears.

  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes

  8. Enjoy!

Notes

I am not a fancy chef and absolutely gave up on the pastry brush and just used a medium mixing bowl and my hands to coat the asparagus with the tasty oil mixture. Worked perfectly for me!
